WHat Does Reiki Feel Like?

Everyone has their own individual experience. Most report they feel a tingling sensation, and some feel hot or cold.

How Often should i get reiki?

Reiki should be performed as often as needed. Reiki promotes self-awareness and assists you in listening to your own body. You will know when you need another session. For those searching for relaxation, once a week is a good option. Those dealing with on-going health challenges are encouraged to have reiki performed on a consistent basis. In more severe cases, multiple consecutive sessions are advised. Weekly or biweekly maintenance is recommended afterwards.

WHat are “releases”?

When our body is getting rid of negative energy, we can experience a variety of sensations. During the session, some have small twitches in their fingers, feet, and muscles. Others breathe deeper, laugh, and cry. Sometimes after a session, people may have a boost of energy or might be a little tired.

WHat is A CHAKRA?

Chakras are energy centers within the body that absorb and transform energy into a new frequency. These frequencies are then delivered throughout the body to help organs, muscles, bones, brain function, and more.  When a chakra is closed or too open, there is a disruption in the flow of energy.  Excess or lack of flow can cause problems throughout the body and mind, as they are not receiving the energy needed to thrive. Balancing the chakras is crucial to the overall well-being of oneself.

Is there an age requirement?

Nope! Everyone can receive a reiki treatment if they are open to it. All ages are welcome here.

Does Reiki still work if i’m a skeptic?

Of course. Reiki works whether you’re fully invested in it or not. As long as you give permission and are open minded, you will receive the energy.

WHat to Expect

The treatment is offered in a peaceful setting while the client is either sitting comfortably or lying down. Soft music may be played and aromatherapy can be used. The client remains fully clothed. It’s recommended to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. Before the session starts, you’ll have a consultation or follow-up. This is when you’ll share how you’re feeling. Then, the session will begin. Once finished, you may share your experience if comfortable.

Before Session

Take time to evaluate your body and mental state.

See what you are feeling and relay that to the practitioner.

Stay hydrated

Use the bathroom if needed.

Refrain from caffeine, alcohol and other mind-altering drugs.

Please take prescriptions that are advised.


After session

A time of reflection is encouraged.

More water!  You can’t have too much.

Nurture your body.

You may feel a boost of energy after or you might be a little more tired.
